The Construction Source

Architect – Mackay Lyons Sweet Apple Architects Photography – Axios “We like doing a mixture of stuff, but we’re less focused on the project than we are focused on the people that we work with,” he explains. “A lot of our clients start off as residential clients and then turn into commercial clients. After they experience building a home with us, they say ‘Well, I’m also doing these other real estate ventures, could you help me with that as well?’ Those are the kind of clients we want to be working for, because we know they care about quality and they value the service that we provide.” As for the size of Axios Construction, Brant says they have some room to grow but their vision is not to be a massive company. They currently employ about 15 people directly and he sees that number getting as high as 25, but doesn’t see it getting any higher. “In order to do the kind of projects we do, we have to be pretty nimble and responsive,” he concludes. “We have to form personal relationships with our clients. We can’t be a big machine. We can’t grow to be a couple hundred people and still do what we do. And we love what we do too much to leave it behind.” JANUARY 2025
