According to Saxon, those relationships are what matters most to the company – they matter even more than growth, he says. “I used to say I want to grow and be a big company, but I’m not interested in doing that anymore if that’s going to compromise the morale and the culture that we have here,” he says. “Right now, I’m happy at the size we’re at, but I wouldn’t be opposed to growing if the work was there and as long as it doesn’t compromise our culture.” “As for the long term, I referenced my son earlier,” Saxon concludes. “His goal is to take over the company. He wants to get a post-secondary education, learn civil engineering, and eventually run Arnica. I’d love to see that happen.
