that feel is noticeable throughout the company. My son works here in the summer. Our foreman’s son works here in the summer. They’re both 16 years old; they both want to go into construction. Our goal is to have everybody retire here.” Holly Buckland is the CFO of Arnica Contracting and has been there for about five years. She believes there’s a “sense of pride” that comes from working at Arnica. “There’s a feeling here that if you’re loyal to the company, the company will be loyal to you,” she explains. “The company does a great job of making sure that they show respect to the people who work here. It’s a great place to work. I know that I don’t want to be anywhere else.” Speaking of loyalty, Saxon says that Arnica is just as loyal to their suppliers and subcontractors as they are employees. He believes that’s one more thing that sets their company apart: “The suppliers that provide us with exceptional service, we’re fiercely loyal to those people,” he says. “We don’t necessarily shop around to save a dollar between suppliers. A lot of those relationships go back 15 years. In return for that loyalty, we continue to get great service from them – and that makes it really easy for us to provide great service to our customers on the job sites. It all trickles down.” Moving forward, Arnica’s goal is to continue FEBRUARY 2025
