asking for help, the answer is yes. Anyone asks for a hand, the answer is yes. You know, we’re all a team. We all work for Atlantic Fence. You take care of Atlantic Fence. Atlantic Fence takes care of you. Everyone here truly believes that and that’s what sets us apart. It’s really a team culture.” Moving forward, Justin’s goal is to continue fostering that team culture, even as the company grows and the team gets bigger and their geographic reach expands. Looking to the immediate future, his vision is to “really strengthen our foothold in Edmonton and central and northern Alberta, and then possibly head out west to B.C.” “I would like to see locations basically across the west – one in Saskatchewan, two in Alberta, maybe one or two in BC,” Justin says. In jest, Justin says that expanding any further beyond that might be a bit tricky – “I think people will look at us sideways if we move to DC with the name Atlantic Fence. We might have to change it to Pacific Fence.” More seriously, he says “the sky is the limit.” “I say that only because of the employees we have,” he says. “They’re so devoted to the growth of the company, to the wellbeing of the company, and to the success of the company. You can’t have growth or success without your employee support and, just as importantly, your community support. I think we definitely have both.” As evidence of the community support, As evidence of the community support, Justin points once again to their ongoing baseball diamond project for the Kehewin Cree Nation. Because they were able to prove themselves on that project, they are going to have the opportunity to quote on more than just fencing projects in the future. “Again, that all started with support of the community, and the support of Stephanie Angus specifically,” Justin says. “Because of that, because she believed in a First Nations company, were not just going to be quoting the fencing stuff moving forward. We’re going to be quoting it all.” SEPTEMBER 2024
