helping them find the right facilities to help their businesses go and grow.” For example, Gregg and his team recently worked with Air Products – a company that develops, engineers, builds, owns and operates some of the world’s largest industrial hydrogen energy plants – negotiate the purchase of a site for their new net-zero hydrogen energy complex in the northeast quadrant of the city. Once complete, the complex will solidify Edmonton as the centre of western Canada’s hydrogen economy, which will in turn help to create thousands of jobs, grow the economy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to Canada’s goal of achieving netzero by 2050. When finished, the hydrogen produced from the facility will immediately be used to power transport trucks, and later passenger vehicles. Because transport trucks will be the first application, Air Products will also need a network of fuelling station sites. Gregg and his team are already engaged in the project, helping them to find and select sites for several fuelling stations across the province. “We’re very proud to be working with Air Products, as their work is so beneficial,” Gregg says. “It’s beneficial for industry, it’s beneficial for the economy, and it’s beneficial for the environment.
