Summit Access Solutions has also had engineering partners who have been there from the start – they include AJW Engineering Ltd and AD Engineering. “A lot of our suppliers gave us accounts with credit before we even had any business, when we were a brand new company with no job history whatsoever,” Kris says. “They believed in us from day one, they were a huge help, and without them we wouldn’t have been able to grow at the rate we did.” In partnership with their vendors and suppliers, Dave says the goal now is to continue growing at a fast rate – and they intend to do that by getting into a couple different industries. For example, they now have the safety documentation in place to work on mining projects and oil and gas projects – which is exciting, Dave says, because some of those projects are very lucrative. Furthermore, as part of that growth effort, Summit Access Solutions will expand geographically. They already have a branch in Ottawa and satellite branch in Sudbury, they are looking now at opportunities to move further into the north of the province, and after that they will look at heading west. Ultimately, Dave says that in the next five years the company “will be looking at least doubling in size again – which isn’t really that much, because from the start ‘till now, we’ve doubled in size almost every year.” SEPTEMBER 2024
