The Construction Source

Pitt Meadows Plumbing & Mechanical Systems is a BC mechanical contractor with a passion for innovation. Using the latest technologies, tools, and processes, they seek to deliver their clients cuttingedge solutions while ensuring their environmental and budgetary goals are always achieved. Over the company’s 45-plus-year history, they have completed a variety of projects, from residential and educational buildings, to high-rises, hospitals, prisons, and industrial warehouses. In recognition of their prolonged excellence, they have become well known for their quality, efficiency, and problem-solving ability, and they have won a long list of industry awards and accolades. Most recently, for their outstanding work in the construction industry, Pitt Meadows Plumbing was honoured by the Vancouver Regional Construction Association (VRCA), who named them one of the three Silver award winners in the ‘Mechanical Contractors – Over $10 Million’ at their 2024 Excellence Awards. That prize was in recognition for their work on a project called ‘City of Lougheed Phase One,’ which involved constructing four large residential towers at the Lougheed Shopping Centre in Burnaby. At the official awards ceremony later this month, Pitt Meadows will find out if they win Gold. Earlier this year, Pitt Meadows was also distinguished with several other prestigious accolades. The British Columbia Construction Association’s (BCCA), for example, hosts an annual ‘Construction and Skilled Trades Month,’ where they recognize excellence across the industry in two areas of priority: culture change, and leadership. At the 7th annual BC Construction Month, Pitt Meadows was one of four winners of the ‘Leadership Award,’ in acknowledgement of their outstanding contribution to the industry. “This prestigious recognition underscores our commitment to excellence and innovation in the construction industry,” said Steve Robinson, the company’s president, in a statement celebrating the award. “We believe our dedication to shaping the future of construction played a significant role in earning this honour.”
