THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA whole thing and rebuild from the ground up,” she says. “That may not be possible due to zoning requirements, or it might not be possible because of budgetary reasons. So there is a huge market for these complex renovations and additions – and I think a lot of builders shy away from those projects, because they involve an extra layer of problem solving and it can be extremely challenging troubleshooting around existing conditions.” “It’s always easy build new,” she elaborates, “but it’s not easy to build in existing older homes that maybe have questionable structures, where maybe you find some interesting things when you open up the walls. Luckily, we have the expertise to tackle those challenges. We’re saying it can be done, but let’s figure out the best way to do it.”
