Starna Building Group is a boutique provider of full-service construction management firm across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). They specialize in building and renovating custom luxury homes, and they have developed a unique and proven process for delivering those homes – a process rooted in “integrity, transparency, and accountability,” according to founder and partner Natasha Jurakhan. “We’ve re-imagined the construction process and developed a unique approach that centers on the client experience and that delivers an exceptional finished product,” Natasha says. “And we are committed to staying small enough so that we can always offer the time, care, and personal attention necessary on each and every single project we manage.” Natasha and her partner Peter Sitarz originally formed Starna Building Group late in 2018. Leading up to that, Natasha came from a deep background in architectural technology and construction management, while Peter had extensive experience working in the construction industry throughout the GTA. They first met while working for another custom homebuilding company, where Natasha was the director of operations and Peter was a site supervisor. They quickly became friends and realized they shared a lot of the same values, and they came to find they had the same outlook when it came to building custom homes. “It’s a very personal thing, building a custom home,” Natasha says. “You’re dealing with customers that have to live in the house after you’re done. You’re making a serious impact on their day-to-day lives. You have to take that seriously. And taking it seriously requires an extra level of care, attention, and management.
