“Through simplification and standardization, we are able to provide the materials and components to other developers so that they, too, can improve the quality of life for everyday Canadians,” Stanford says. “And we can do it all without sacrificing quality, design expression, nor project timelines.” By standardizing the material selection process, Stanford emphasizes that they are also standardizing their quality. They are making sure that all the components they use exceed the environmental and quality standards in both Canada and internationally. Quality and environmental impact are two factors that are very important to Stanford personally – they are not factors he’s willing to compromise on, even if it means saving time or money. Fortunately, Stanford doesn’t have to compromise. Admiral Development and Operations has designed a model that enables them to build quickly, cost effectively, and to a high standard of quality. Now they just need to prove the model works. That’s what they are doing now in Nanaimo at 3500 Hillside, and they are very pleased with their progress so far. Stanford says the homes are beautifully designed and appealing to buyers, while also being attainable for buyers. He believes they have found the kind of balance they want to replicate moving forward. Looking ahead, the company’s hope is to complete phase one of that five-acre, 32-unit development by the end of next year, and then the second phase the year after. From there, they hope to develop similar projects in similar communities all across Canada, potentially in collaboration with limited partners. “We are looking towards bringing products that people actually want and can afford,” Stanford says. “We want to create homes where the common family can raise their children, enjoy their hobbies, and cook great food.” “We want to bring a great product with the latest in technology and design trends to improve the quality of life for everyday Canadians; in an affordable manner,” he adds – and as a result of doing that, he strongly believes the company will grow. “Growth is because you are doing something right,” he concludes. “We believe we will be growing over the next five years, but we will continue to do the right thing and apply our experience, resource and passion to the places that needs us most and see where fate brings us.” NOVEMBER 2024
