Canton Fair in China in 2019, but COVID put his plans on hold. It was only recently he was able to go back and tour factories and figure out “how to control more of the supply chain in my own hands.” “Normally when a project procures material, they usually go through maybe 30, 40, 50 vendors,” he explains. “And by going through so many vendors, it creates a lot more steps and redundancies in the process.” Moving forward, Admiral Development and Operations intends to eliminate those redundancies by sourcing directly from factories and suppliers overseas. They will also achieve cost efficiencies by transitioning to more of a ‘manufacturing model’ as opposed to a ‘custom model.’ “We will no longer need to go to one person to buy a door, another person to get a moulding, another person to get a door handle, and another person to get the door stops,” Stanford says. “We will also be able to yield higher efficiencies by standardizing and systemizing our material selections. We’re going to minimize the amount of selections that we are dealing with every day, keep it down to the basics so that it can all be readily available, fast, and cost effective.” In order to create those efficiencies, Admiral Development and Operators has created and launched another subsidiary brand called Aegis Building Supplies Ltd. The goal of that subsidiary is not only to assist Admiral Development and Operations, but also other developers who share their vision: NOVEMBER 2024
