Products that people want These days, as previously mentioned, Admiral Development and Operations is focused on developing and building town houses. As also previously mentioned, that focus has evolved over the years. The company used to be open to a much wider variety of residential projects. What changed, Stanford explains, is he got tired of waiting around. He realized he needed to move quicker in order to make the kind of impact he wanted to make. In order to make that impact, Stanford also realized he needed his product to be more affordable. The kind of homes he was building before – and more importantly, the way he was building them – made it difficult to deliver product that was attainable for everyday families. He needed to find a way to change that. The key, Stanford realized, was simplifying his supply chain.
