“I started up managing one house for someone in 2016. I was doing that on the side as I was still teaching at that time. Fast forward, I left teaching completely and I’m now a fulltime business owner and property manager managing roughly 1000 units,” he says. “Our bread and butter is the residential side although we do have commercial properties as well. It’s a 90/10 split between residential and commercial. Our commercial properties are smaller strip malls, stand-alone units, and retail, restaurants, and offices.” “We started doing a lot of single-family homes and some duplexes and that’s about one third of our portfolio that we manage on the residential side,” he says. “We also have smaller multi-family from three- to ten-unit wood frame constructions, a third is in that classification.
