The Construction Source

Staying symbiotic As previously mentioned, Construction McVeigh is currently doing a lot of work on prefab buildings, as they are often recommended to clients by prefab manufacturers – including some manufacturers pretty far away from the Laurentians, which is an indication of how powerful their reputation has grown. Moving forward, the company’s vision is to continue fostering those relationships, but at the same time they also hope to become “a little more independent” and start doing more of their own projects. They would love to design and build more spec homes, and they would also love to develop some low-rise affordable housing developments, as they recognize those are sorely needed in their area. As for the size of the company, Craig was open to growth, but he was never interested in growing the point where they would have to compromise their quality or their customer service. “I’ve seen companies with 100 employees and there’s just no symbiosis in the crews,” he said. “When that happens, the quality suffers and the service suffers. I never want to see that happen at Construction McVeigh. I want our crews to stay symbiotic.” Craig’s son, Theo McVeigh, feels the same way – as does the rest of the leadership team, including project manager Gabriel Raymond and office administrator Melissa Lepine. As the new leaders of Construction McVeigh, their vision is to carry on his Craig’s vision – they wants to work with clients that share their values, and they want to provide those clients with personalized service and “quality without compromise.” MAY 2024
