We know they don’t make any money sitting in our yard waiting.” “We’re efficient with our deliveries as well,” he adds. “We have an extensive fleet of trucks out there servicing the Lower Mainland. We have anywhere from six to 10 trucks on the road at all times doing pick-ups and drop-offs. That’s a huge benefit for most of our contractors.” Over the years, all that customer care has consistently translated into repeat business. Logan says he has personally known some of their contractor clients since he was a little kid. “I remember being 10 years old and walking around the sand pits and dealing with the same customers I see at 37 years old now. A lot of these guys are like family to us. More than one client has told me there’s a Cheers-like vibe here. When they walk in, everybody knows their name and is happy to see them. I think that gives them a very comfortable feeling when they come to our store.” A lot of BC Brick Supplies’ employees are similarly longstanding, Logan says. He says the company fluctuates between 25 and 40 people, depending on the season, but a lot of their core employees have been there “for a very long time.” Most of the company’s suppliers are also longstanding, Logan adds.
