As part of that engagement, they frequently invite suppliers to visit their premises and educate their staff on both their existing products as well as their new and upcoming ones. “We’re consistently making sure that everybody here has the knowledge they need to feel comfortable selling the product,” Logan explains. BC Brick Supplies also cares deeply about being honest with their customers. Among other things, that means giving them accurate pricing and realistic lead times: “Going through COVID and all of the supply chain problems, I think a lot of companies were giving their clients the bestcase scenario,” Logan says. “We were telling them the truth. If we thought it was more than likely that we’d run into some issues, we’d let them know. We would explain all the variables. Sometimes those aren’t easy conversations to have, but I think clients ultimately appreciate the honesty.” That said, BC Brick Supplies does care deeply about their customers’ time, and they try to save as much of it as they can: “One of our biggest things is getting people in and out of our yard in a timely manner,” Logan explains. “I know when a customer pulls into our yard, whether they are a contractor or a homeowner, their time is worth a lot. We make sure they get out of here and back to their job site or back to their house as soon as possible so they can continue their job.
