Terry admits it can be challenging to find the right people. Fortunately, he says that Kal-West has such a good reputation that those people tend to find them: “Kelowna is getting bigger, but it’s still a very small city and word travels fast,” he explains. “The way you treat people matters here. I think we’re known for treating our people very well. When a plumber is looking for work, I think they hear about us pretty quickly, and I think they hear good things. Quite often, that’s how we find good people for our team.” “And we’re always hiring,” Keith adds. “We’re always looking for quality tradespeople to add to the mix.” Once again, Keith emphasizes that when they find the right person, they tend to be very successful at retaining them.
