The Construction Source

Construction has become well known locally, and customers feel secure that the company will be around for many years. Also, as previously mentioned, Bright Construction takes quality very seriously. Jake largely credits that to his brother, Abe, who is a key player in making sure their work is up to standard and completed properly. “He goes around and makes sure that all the crews have the proper material. At the same time, he’ll go and inspect everybody’s work so that if something is off, we’ll fix it before the guys leave the site. His diligence saves us a lot of time and keeps things in check.” Abe grew up watching his dad do all the same home renovations that Jake did, and through that, developed a keen eye for design and detail for both interior and exterior design. Before jumping on board with Bright Construction in 2023, he put up siding for 10 years and installed windows before that. His experience and creative visual eye have added a new dimension of quality and uniqueness to Bright Construction’s work. And his former experience installing windows helped pave the way for the company to offer windows and doors to their services. Bright Construction’s quality is not just Abe’s doing, however. Jake also credits the other dedicated members of their team, as well as their roster of subcontractors and suppliers. He says many of those relationships date back to when the company began. “Working together with vendors is quite critical. It’s important to keep the relationships with the vendors good, so that if there is ever a problem, they don’t have an issue coming to tell me about it. We will find a solution for it.” Jake says this was especially true during the COVID pandemic. “Often we were waiting on material for quite a while, so it was difficult for me to deliver a lot of projects on time. We came up with a solution with the suppliers to ease a lot of our stress and our clients’ stress. Keeping the relationship very open and respectful is important so if you’re in a tight situation, they’re willing to help you and visaversa.” A good example of this involves a vendor who was willing to personally pick up supplies that Jake desperately needed for a job. Without that vendor stepping in, it would have taken two weeks for them to arrive, which would have thrown a curveball into the schedule. Instead of suffering a delay, however, their vendor’s personal intervention allowed Bright Construction to finish the project on time. THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
