According to Li, when it comes to architects, they like working with firms that are based in Windsor but have earned experience elsewhere in Canada and the States. He says they have built repeat relationships with several firms that fit that description, and they are able to strategically assign them the projects they feel best fit their experience and skillsets. When it comes to their subcontractors, meanwhile, Li says that Horizons Group has worked with “most of the trades in Windsor” in their time there. Through that experience, they have learned who’s reliable and who’s not – and the reliable ones keep using. “We work with the best trades in this community,” Li says. “They are very good people, they have very high standards, and we love to work with them. We very seldom have to work with people from out of town.” Since completing Eastside Horizons in 2021, Horizons Group and their new partners have remained very busy.
