From their home base in Manitoba, they service clients all over the Prairie Provinces and beyond, providing steel buildings for virtually any need or application. No matter where they are building, and no matter the building type, they strive to provide clients with a service that is “second to none.” “When clients work with us, we’re with them at every step – from the initial planning and design phases, to construction, to final completion of the project,” says Bernhard Teichroeb, general manager. “Whether they are planning a new plant, shop, or commercial facility, we use our experience and expertise to take away the typical headaches of steel building construction and general contracting, and we make their building a reality on time and on budget.” Wiebe’s Steel Structures was first founded by Barry Wiebe, who had been in some form of construction all his life, but went into business for himself in 2007. His company started as a three-person operation doing custom welding out of a home office. In the years since, they have evolved into a full-service construction company with a headquarters in Morden, Manitoba, and a recently-launched second location in Crossfield, Alberta. Bernhard, for his part, joined the company in 2009. In his time there, he’s seen the evolution of the company firsthand. He’s seen them go from a custom metal fabricator, to mainly an installer of pre-engineered metal buildings – at first mostly locally in Manitoba, then further afield in Saskatchewan and Alberta – then to being a dealer for other steel building suppliers.
