Keeping busy Moving forward, Wes says the vision for RSFS is to continue growing – and in particular, to keep growing in terms of geography. In the nearterm, the company’s goal is to create more areas to service in Western Canada. In the longerterm, they hope to expand into more provinces. Ideally, Wes says, the company would like to achieve that growth in concert with their existing clients. Client demand was actually what inspired the recent creation of their Vancouver office, which has been very successful. “So far, our Vancouver branch has been providing a lot of shoring services for the highrises going up in Vancouver,” Wes says. “We’ve been working with a lot of developers, excavation contractors, and general contractors. A lot of them were previous clients we had worked with in the past in different areas, and they had requested for us to come to Vancouver and help them out. So that’s what we did, and since then they have kept us quite busy.” In the future, Wes says the company will keep a close eye out for further opportunities like that. If their clients request their assistance in other areas, he says they will definitely do what they can to help them out: “Me and Pat, we definitely want to expand,” he concludes. “We want to go to all the areas that need our services, where we see we would be a good fit.” JUNE 2024
