In terms of renovations, they will be adding a Nordic spa to MTN House this spring, as previously mentioned, and they already in the midst of renovating their ‘Northwinds Hotel’ in Revelstoke, which was formerly a Days Inn. As for new properties, the company recently launched ‘Basecamp Suites’ in Revelstoke, and they are also now building ‘Summit Apartments’ in Revelstoke – which is a 75unit townhouse development, with the units earmarked for long-term rentals. “That’s super important to me,” Sky says, “because all of these communities we operate in require long-term housing – not just for our staff but for the community at large.” While actively working on those projects, Sky estimates that they also have five-to-10 other projects they are developing “in the background,” which they expect to announce in the near future. Those upcoming projects will include hotels and condos elsewhere in British Columbia, in communities such as Fernie and Golden. “We’ve very busy, and we’re going to stay busy,” Sky says. “I would say our potential for growth is infinite. That’s something I really believe in. I believe in our brand, I believe in our offering, I believe in what we’re doing.” “The only thing is, in order to grow, we need to find the right team members and partners – but we’re really good at doing that,” she concludes. “We know the right people are out there and we’re really good at finding them.
