Fire in their belly Moving forward, Metro Glass has only one direction to go, according to James – and that’s straight up. He is confident their sales will double again in the next five years, and in that time, he projects they will capture another 15-to-20 per cent of the market share in Alberta and add another 10-to-20 employees to their team. In the longer-term, he says, “We want to get well enough known in Canada that companies in the USA will look at us for material supply.” That push to go internationally, James clarifies, is for the next generation of ownership. “That’s a couple decades down the road for my son to do. I’ll try to pave the way to get there but first we have to get national recognition in Canada. I’d say within the next five years we should be distributing across Canada. That’s the goal.” “I’m confident in the future of Metro Glass because our product is amazing,” he concludes. “I’ve got fire in my belly and I’m determined to grow Metro into a world class curtain wall supplier.” JULY 2024
