Metro Glass is a Canadian-owned, Calgary-based manufacturer of custom-made aluminum doors, storefronts, curtain wall windows, systems and vents for commercial buildings. Since forming over 50 years ago, they have evolved into one of Southern Alberta’s premier providers of high quality glass and aluminum products to the construction industry. Today, under the leadership of new and highly-motivated owners James Ironhall and Rick Ironside, they are a company poised to grow even bigger and better than ever. The key to that growth, they believe, is their speedy service: “It all comes down to customer service and speed,” says James. “The product has to be on point and the customer has to get it in a reasonable time frame. In the construction world, you can never get it done quickly enough. That’s where we excel. James took the helm of Metro Glass in February 2024 from Cliff White, whose father founded the company in 1971. Prior to James’ takeover, the company’s growth had been minimal as the previous ownership was content with what they had and were not pushing the brand to capacity.
