painting equipment and got started. He returned to his glass job later that year, and for a while did line painting on the side, but demand for his services grew quickly his new company – originally called Laser Line Painting – soon became his fulltime job. Near the end of 2019, he relocated his family to Prince George and brought the business with him. Since then, the company has almost doubled in revenue every year since. Last year, the company took a particularly significant step in their growth journey when they rebranded to ‘Laser Pavement Solutions.’ They did that, Cam explains, because they wanted to express that they were a full-service pavement, asphalt, and concrete company. Not only do they do line painting, they also do asphalt maintenance, including asphalt crack repair and seal coating, they do snow removal, and they self-perform some concrete work. Laser Pavement Solutions’ clients include facility managers and property managers – “decision makers of pavement assets,” as Cam describes them. Their ideal clients, Cam says, are decision makers “who value the same things that we value.” “We are a company that is bent on maximizing the value and the safety and the aesthetics of pavement. We want to make it last as long as possible before the client has to repave it. We want it to be safe, particularly in the wintertime, and we also want it to look good. Our preferred client is anyone who has a facility, or has a business that has pavement, and they want someone to come in and make sure the value of that pavement is as high as possible.” DECEMBER 2024
