into something else, because what would happen is we would get calls to come and look at some specific scopes, and then the builder or the owner would find out that we’re diverse as we are.” “And they’d always say, ‘I’m just going to phone Justin because it just makes sense to just have one contractor take care of everything all the time.’ I heard that so many times and I was like, ‘You know what? That’s what JMS stands for from now on.’ Just makes sense. It just makes sense to build with us.” In Nichole’s opinion, another reason clients choose JMS is the accessibility of Justin as the owner, and the fact that he is hands-on with every client on every project. “When you phone us, you get to him,” she says. “You don’t go to a call service; you don’t go to an administrator. You get the owner, and if you don’t get him on the first try it doesn’t take him days to get back to you. When a client calls looking to see if we want to quote a project, they immediately get to the owner and the guy who is going to be overseeing the project. We have been told by our customers how much they like that. They like that Justin has a hands-on approach. It shows that he obviously really cares about each and every customer.” JMS Construction doesn’t only care about their customers, however – they also care just as much about employees, their subcontractors, and their suppliers. When it comes to employees, for example, Nichole says “we strive to have really good working relationships.” AUGUST 2024
