Having those strong relationships with reliable trade partners is going to be important to the company’s growth, Paul adds – and he reiterates that Westrade is growing. “That’s the main reason we brought in Justin, is because we want to grow,” he says. “Our other team members are also motivated. They want to move forward. We’re looking at growth as an opportunity for them too. I want to make sure that at the end of the day, growing is to the advantage to all the employees.” Over the next five years, Paul projects the company will grow between 15-to-20 per cent per year. At that rate, he believes the growth will be manageable and sustainable. With the team they have and the subcontractors they have, he believes they can get there without any compromise to their quality, their service, or their reliability. Ultimately, no matter how big they grow, Paul says those are the most important things to the company, and they never want to grow to the point where any of them suffer. AUGUST 2024
