as a team. “That’s an exciting new relationship, because they bring another set of developers and general contractors to the table,” Jerzy says. “Working with them gives us a lot of opportunity to grow.” Speaking of growth, Jerzy says his vision is to “continue growing with Vancouver,” as they have throughout their entire history. As the city grows and requires more high-rises, the company will grow along with it. The same goes for the other cities they are working in – as those markets grow, so too will Highrise Glass’ presence in them. “That growth will be slow and steady,” Jerzy says. “Since 2000, we’ve gone from one crew to 10 crews. That took 24 years. We’re very comfortable with that pace. We don’t want to grow just for the sake of growing. We only want to grow if there’s enough work to keep our teams busy while keeping our quality high.” Finally, Jerzy will not be leading that charge into the future alone. His partner, Vlad Ivanov, has been taking on a progressively larger role in the organization in recent years and is poised to take on an even larger one as Jerzy nears retirement. Vlad first joined the company 20 years ago and over time he proved himself to be first an excellent installer, then an incredibly capable foreman managing many towers at once, and he’s now a full partner with Jerzy, fully running operations for the business. In the future, he’s set to play a large role in the continued growth of Highrise Glass. “Our employees, contractors, and suppliers look forward to Vlad’s warmth, confidence, and business skills as he leads Highrise Glass into the future,” Jerzy concludes.
