The Construction Source

“Investor purchasers did well and the people living in Outlook are happy with it,” Parker says. “That was a great springboard to the success of our next three product launches.” On the heels of that sell-out, Principle Property Group went on to launch a 79-unit building called ‘Prospect,’ which they sold out “quite rapidly,” and at higher market driven prices than Outlook. That project is now fully completed and occupied. Next up, they launched ‘The Station,’ which comprises 69 units. That project also sold out, with construction underway. Finally, the ‘Lumina’ building is a 38-unit building – which once again is sold out, with construction due to be completed late Fall 2024. According to Madden, a key driver of that repeat success was the rebranding of the South End of Nanaimo to the ‘Harbourview District.’ “This new name has been adopted by plenty of locals, realtors and community members,” she says. “Now, when realtors are listing a home in this neighbourhood, they’ll say they’re listing it in the up-and-coming Harborview District, it’s been adopted as an area brand by most, which has been really beneficial to us.” Principle Property Group’s next project in the Harbourview District is called ‘Paramount.’ It comprises 44 one-and-two-bedroom condo units. Sales are launching soon and construction is expected to be completed in the Fall of 2025. Parker is excited about that project for a long list of reasons, but one of the main reasons is the architecture: Matthew Hansen has been our Architect on all AUGUST 2024
