Park Derochie is one of Canada’s premier specialtytrade industrial contractors. They are experts in all forms of industrial coatings, fireproofing, mechanical insulation, as well as scaffolding, abrasive blasting, containment, and maintenance programs. They have developed their expertise over many decades, as the company’s roots go all the way back to 1956, when Merle Derochie and Jim Park started a commercial painting firm in Calgary. Almost 70 years later, that company has evolved into an industry leader in multiple disciplines, with offices across Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, and Ontario. His father, Jeff Granberg, is the company’s executive chairman, and Jeff actually first started working with the company at 18 years old. Ryan started with the business even earlier – at 14, he swept the shop room floor as one of his first ever jobs. At 18, he started working as a tradesman, mostly doing fireproofing. He left to attend university and then earn some experience at a couple other companies, but he returned in 2015 and has since worked for the company in several different APRIL 2024
