Dan says those subcontractor relationships are also very strong, and he partly credits that strength to the values they all share: “We are a team of like-minded, passionate professionals who love to be creative and challenged, and have fun. Staff events usually focus on team building, positive experiences, and enjoying the outdoors.” “When building, we attempt to keep things inhouse as much as possible in order to keep operations running smoothly,” he adds. “But when required, we work with consistent subcontractors who share the same values and commitment as our core team.” In recent years, that shared commitment has resulted in some very high quality projects. As previously mentioned, that high quality has been consistently recognized in the form of repeat business and referrals, but it’s also been recognized by industry bodies in the form of awards and accolades. For example, the company has recently won CHBA awards for ‘Best Kitchen Reno’, ‘Best Kitchen’, and ‘Best Bathroom.’ They have also earned recognition from Habitat for Humanity for donations of both salvaged materials and new kitchens for their builds. Even more recently, Home Fashions demonstrated their commitment to quality on one of their most exciting and most challenging projects to date.
