Dan Clark, meanwhile, is an accomplished Red Seal carpenter, and he founded DJC Carpentry and Millwork in early 2012. His vision for that company was to provide “a service differentiated from all the rest through the utmost attention to detail,” he says. From the start, he strived to create “hand-crafted work that reflected the warmth and craftsmanship of an earlier era,” and “to build high quality products in a timely fashion.” As a result of that commitment, he and his team at DJC quickly became recognized in multiple key cities throughout the province. In terms of the services they offered, Kitchen Fashions was a protected dealer for Glenwood Kitchens – a leading cabinet manufacturer based in Shediac, New Brunswick – and their main focus was selling, designing, and installing cabinetry and countertop renovation solutions. DJC Carpentry and Millwork, on the other hand, focused on custom millwork such as fireplaces, furniture, cabinetry, heritage building restorations and commercial casework. In the spring of 2015, the two companies decided to combine their capabilities. A merger was implemented, and Kitchen Fashions and DJC came together in order to “compete on a scale larger than the individual partners had previously been able to,” Jarred says. A couple years later, the company’s name was changed in order to better express the entire service offering of the combined companies. Home Fashions Group now operates as a one-stop shop for Fredericton’s complete home renovation solution. In the years since, the company has continued APRIL 2024
