company called ‘The Local Shoppe’, which sells locally-sourced furniture and other home décor products. Currently, The Local Shoppe is just an online store, but the goal is open up a brick-andmortar location in the near future. Moving forward, Alex is excited about the future of both ‘Local’ brands, and he’s equally excited about the future of FDA. He says they have set “numerous goals that we are determined to achieve.” One of those goals is to continue grow their team and their culture: “Our focus is on advancing and strengthening the core values of our company’s culture,” Alex explains. “Our aspiration is for FDA to emerge as a top-choice employer, driven by the appeal of working on the best projects and fostering an inclusive and enjoyable corporate environment – qualities that individuals frequently seek.” To date, Alex believes, FDA has done a very good job at fostering that environment. He says they have taken “great pride” in their corporate culture, considering it to be “a cornerstone of our firm’s identity.” “Beyond the office, we emphasize team building through frequent outings. Our activities span from casual team bowling events to more lavish experiences like weekend retreats at luxury cottages or attending a Toronto Maple Leafs’ game. We firmly believe that fostering an inclusive and enjoyable culture is integral to delivering high-quality project design experiences for our clients.” “Furthermore, our dynamic firm is enthusiastic about tackling large-scale projects. Spanning the Muskoka region through various modes of transportation – be it by boat, car, or plane – several of our projects have established themselves as landmarks in the area.
