Sharing their passion As previously mentioned, FDA is part of a network of local companies that together can provide clients with the full range of design and engineering services. One of the key companies in that network is ‘The Local Studio’, which is a full service turn-key interior design firm specializing in unique and functional luxury spaces. That company is led by Kate Sadler, an accomplished interior designer who was one of FDA’s first employees. After spending several years as the manager of interior design at FDA, she and Alex decided that her department should become a separate entity in order to provide interior design services to third party architects and contractors. That turned out to be a good decision, as the third party business quickly rolled in. These days, roughly half of The Local Studio’s work is for FDA and roughly half is for external clients.
