That responsiveness, Kevin says, is partly a credit to the company’s size. They have enough employees that if a customer calls and asks for service, they can send someone pretty quickly. They don’t have to drop what they are already doing, like they had to do when they were a smaller company and Kevin was an owneroperator who was almost always on site. Verhoef Electric also believes in being honest with customers, and they take pride in doing business ethically. Kevin believes that also heavily contributes to client loyalty: “Our customers know that our pricing is always going to be fair,” he explains. “They know we’re going to be there when we say we’re going to be there. We’re going to do what we say we’re going to do. We demonstrate that on a continual basis. Our customers know that they don’t have to worry about us. I think that goes a long way.” Of course, Verhoef Electric also continually delivers quality – their repeat business is a testament to that. Kevin believes that quality consistency is the result of a few important factors. Firstly, Kevin credits their material selection and the calibre of their suppliers. He says they “never just go with the cheapest option,” and have instead strived to form relationships with reputable suppliers who stand behind their products. Just like with clients, he says some of those relationships go back 10-plus years.
