size and budget from small undertakings to multi-milliondollar contracts, TKI holds each project to the same high standards. Brandon explains that they have created a service division to handle “some very, very small projects.” “We have a special projects division which does projects from $20,000 to $2-3 million and now we’re moving into a more major projects division which is going to be $3-5 million starts to $12-13 million in that range,” he says. “We’re capable of much, much larger projects, but as a growing company, you have to fight harder for those larger projects to get people to actually give you a chance.” Three of the company’s recent projects of special note are in the multi-million-dollar range. TKI completed a YMCA childcare center in Kelowna in July 2023. Brandon says the project came in at approximately $3 million. A daycare/multigenerational activity center in Lake Country carried a $7 million price tag and a daycare at the airport in Kelowna was completed for approximately $3.5 million. According to Brandon, his team finished the airport facility in a timely fashion that outpaced competitors involved in similar projects. TKI is guided by the principles of integrity, clarity, and accountability. “It’s a culture of quality. First and foremost, that’s what drives us,” Brandon explains. He says that this emphasis on quality extends to all facets of the operation from safety and communication to contracts, procedures, and scheduling. Clients, trades, and his team all benefit.
