Currently, SVEMY is also undertaking a project in Hay River, Northwest Territories, approximately a 14-hour drive from their Calgary office. There, they are installing a new fire alarm system for a Coast Guard complex consisting of nine buildings. As part of their diverse service offering, SVEMY also undertakes are specialized tasks such as the repair and retrofit of cableways across north western Canada. Although these projects might be smaller in scale, they present unique demands and challenges that stimulate their skilled workforce. According to Vladan, “These intricately demanding tasks not only push our team’s capabilities but also instill a sense of enjoyment and accomplishment, underlining our commitment to engaging and rewarding work.” Looking ahead, Vladan shares that SVEMY Construction aims to continue tackling complex and large-scale projects, particularly in the public sector, as they enjoy working with the federal government. In the long term, SVEMY Construction intends to venture into the industrial sector with their own developments. They’ve already gotten a taste of the development process by purchasing and transforming a building in Calgary into their new headquarters. This experience, Vladan believes, has provided them with invaluable insights that they can leverage for the benefit of their clients. MAY 2023
