manage people’s expectations,” Peter explains. “We communicate with them very consistently so we know what their expectations are what their budget allows for, and they know what we’re going to deliver for them. We don’t want there to be any surprises at the end of the job.” “We also work hard to get to know our clients and understand what they want out of the project,” Stephanie adds. “We understand that they’re paying us a lot of money and we take that really seriously. We want to make sure that whatever we’re providing for them, it’s going to meet their needs, it’s going to improve their lives the way they expect it to.” They also make sure that whatever they deliver, they deliver to a very high quality standard. Again, Peter says that comes down to his own personal “obsession” with getting the details right. He also says a big part of it “cleanliness.” “We keep our sites really, really clean,” he explains. “We’re really disciplined about that. I tell Steph all the time, ’70 per cent of construction is cleaning.’ I’m joking but it’s also sort of true.” Over the course of his career, Peter has formed some tight relationships with contractors who are equally disciplined. He says that some of those relationships are relatively new, but some are really longstanding. “We have a lot of trust and confidence in our subcontractors,” Stephanie says. “We know that when they are on site, we can trust them.
