We’ve spent a substantial amount of time studying our industry, reading the codebook, looking for unique solutions and figuring out how they can be applied.” “We also understand that there are a lot of different products out there,” Diego says. “For example, we recently ran into a problem on a job where the whole bathroom was designed above a slab band which we couldn’t core through– so we adapted. We went with wallhung flush tank toilets, and we essentially did all the drainage on top of the floor, rather than underneath it.” “We were able to do that because we had the knowledge about these specific types of toilets,” Giordano says. “They were a tank-type of toilet, not a flush-valve type, and you don’t see them very often – but Diego saw them on a job 10 years ago and he keyed in that they would be a perfect solution to the problem we were facing. That’s a result of his experience.” Giordano further credits the company’s reliability to their heavy emphasis on “preparation.” “When we first get a job, we extensively go through it and try to identify all the trouble points,” he explains. “We bring those up to the client immediately, even before the job starts. That gives us a huge advantage. By the time we start our rough-in, we already know where the pinch points are going to be, and we’ve already figured out how to deal with them – so there are no roadblocks in the way between us and completion.” That speediness and reliability has helped Pacific Flo DECEMBER 2023
