during its first year of operations – which is the equivalent of taking 1,000 cars off the road. It’s also expected to produce enough electricity to power more than 1,200 Alberta homes. TerraPro was responsible for all the civil construction work on that project. Kyle says they are proud of what they accomplished there because they know they satisfied the client: “ATCO was happy,” he says. “There was no negative feedback after the job was done. They were happy with how we handled the project, they were happy with how we communicated, and they were happy with how we navigated all the different curveballs. It goes back to what I was saying about expectations – we were clear from the start about what they were asking for, we delivered what they expected, and everyone was satisfied at the end of that.” Moving forward, TerraPro’s goal is to continue achieving that standard of customer satisfaction, and to continue earning the loyalty of clients including ATCO as a result. The company similarly hopes to maintain the loyalty of their other stakeholders, including their employees. According to Colin, they don’t take any of their relationships for granted, and they are always looking for ways to improve as both a service provider and as an employer. Continuous improvement, in general, is a watchword for TerraPro. In all aspects of their business, Colin says they are constantly striving to innovate and get better. They believe that’s the key to growth – which they believe they have a lot of room to do. “We believe we could probably double the business in the next five years,” Colin says. “We think we have the knowledge, the experience, and the corporate wisdom to do that, and do it without compromising our quality or our service.” “We also have the right team in place,” he concludes. “We’ve spent years putting that team together, and we’re excited about the group we have now. We’re excited about moving forward together.” DECEMBER 2023
