We’ve had a really good run together.” They don’t like to “chop and change,” Dustin adds, they like to bring the same team from house-to-house as much as possible – but once in a while, he concedes they do have to make changes if a subcontractor gets complacent and their quality slips. In those cases, when the company is looking for new partners, they of course look at price and cost-competitiveness – but according to Dustin, what they mostly look for is quality. “At the end of the day, we need them do a good job,” he says. “We can’t work with any trade who does a subpar job. It doesn’t matter what kind of trade they are, what kind of work they’re going to be doing, whether I think the client is going to see it or not – if they do a bad job, it’s going to reflect on us somewhere down the line, and that’s not acceptable to me.” AUGUST 2023
