project managers understand the vision of our clients, and that vision is being realized.” Jared also credits the quality to their team, including the carpenters they employ in-house, as well as their roster of subcontractors and tradespeople. “We work very closely with our subcontractors,” he says. “We typically have two of each trade, and that’s not so they can compete on price, it’s to manage schedule and timelines. We used to have only one set of each trade, but we saw that as we were getting bigger we were stretching them a bit thin, so we decided to have two sets of trades for the categories we can.” “Some of those relationships go back many years,” he adds. “This is a small area, so I grew up with some of our subcontractors.” Haileybury being a small area is also why quality control is so imperative, Jared explains: “In a community like this, your best advertisement is your quality,” he says. “You get a lot more work from people seeing what you’re capable of then you could ever get from putting an ad in the newspaper or on the radio.
