Taking over the world In the beginning, the Hovr Bracket System was mainly available online. Today, the system – along with a range of related accessories – is still available on Hovr’s website, but the company also has several affiliated distributors in the US and Canada. Online, the system also recently premiered in the UK, France, Germany and Holland – “those are the next emerging markets for us,” notes Peter. The original Hovr bracket was roughly 1.5 inches in height, but they have now developed a 1-inch tall bracket that will also be made available starting in September 2023. In addition to the aluminum bracket, they also sell a custom bent steel bracket system – which, when attached correctly to a concrete wall, can hold 4,000 pounds of weight at a 10-inch depth. The smallest version of the steel bracket starts at 2.5 inches, with progressive versions increasing 0.5 inches up to 7 inches. Moving forward, Hovr Strong Solutions is looking at other forms the system could take, as well as other materials they could utilize – for example, they are currently experimenting with a system made of plastic, which would be more affordably priced. The company is also looking to continue expanding their reach. At the end of last year, they expanded to Europe, but the team at Hovr says that’s only the first step of the journey. “Today, 95 per cent of the entire world’s floating shelves are using the two-pronged system. We want to substitute that system worldwide.” SEPTEMBER 2022
