of the couple had reservations, Madeleine admits, but ultimately, they were both highly-satisfied with the endresult. Madeleine says her relationship with themwas, and remains, “amazing.” Over the time they worked together, she believes a strong connection was formed, a personal goal for every project. As a result, Madeleine says her relationship with the couple was, and remains, “amazing.” In this particular case, the bonding was likely enhanced by how much Madeleine personally experienced in that span of time – over the course of those four years, she got engaged, got married, had a baby, and renovated two separate condos for her family. “I have pictures of me and my newborn baby from when we were installing their furniture,” she recalls. “So they became a big part of my life – and they still are. They were great clients. That made for a very rewarding process.” The relationship with New Creation Homes was also very strong, Madeleine says. Again, over the course of four years, she says “it turned into a fantastic relationship.” “I learned a tonne on this project,” she says. “We were a fairly young firm at the time, and it was a huge project to undertake, but New Creation had an immense amount of luxury home building experience. They had been in the industry for way longer than we had, and they taught us a lot.” The end-result is a home that features an open floor plan filled with multi-use spaces and utilizes a thoughtful layering of lighting, materials, and finishes. The layout of the home “tells a story,” Madeleine says, with each room being unique but also complementary to the next. The home showcases Madeleine’spassionforfinishing carpentry and millwork. The study, in particular, features meticulously-designed, custom wall panelling. Again, Madeleine says, the final outcome is a credit to the “team approach”andthecontributions of all stakeholders, from the client, to the contractor, to all the various subcontractors and material suppliers. “We had such a great team on the Ocean Bluff project, and I think everyone involved was thrilled with the end result.
