to the trust they have built together, to the transparency enabled by their project management software, and to the high quality of their previous works. “He knows that we’re qualified and we can do everything we can to give him the best quality product,” Ryan says. “That’s the standard we’ve set with him. We’re responsible for carrying on the relationship that the old owners built with him, and we take that responsibility seriously.” Moving forward, Canpro’s goal is to take on more high-end homes like that one, as their team really enjoys them. At the same time, they will never neglect the relationships they have already built with clients from other sectors. Historically, the majority of their work has been commercial projects, tenant improvements, and building maintenance, and Ryan expects that trend to continue. Ryan also expects the company to keep taking on new commercial builds and major renovations. For example, they recently started a 12,000-square-foot addition and renovation for St. Michael’s University. “We’re really excited about that,” Ryan says. “So we’re diverse,” he adds, “and we’re excited about staying diverse. We can’t really say what our specialty is, and we like it that way. We like doing a bit of everything. Our goal is to keep doing that, and to keep our relationships with our clients really strong.” MARCH 2022
