on,” Daniel says. “We’re very passionate about learning and getting better. We always want to be growing as a company, as a partnership, and as a team.” “We all have a common goal,” he adds. “We all want to be proud of what we do. That’s not just Josh and I, that’s everyone we work with. We’re all striving to be better, to know more, and to communicate better. We’re striving for perfection.” Over the years, that pursuit of perfectionhasbeenconsistently recognized by Daniel and Joshua’s clients. Daniel says that almost all of Velocity Projects’ work has been generated by word of mouth and repeat clients. On both the residential and commercial sides, he says they are “constantly working with the same people.” Daniel and Joshua originated many of those relationships with their previous companies, and they are still working with them on a consistent basis today. “For example, we’re doing a multimillion dollar home with a client right now – and this will be my third build with them in 14 years,” Daniel says. “Josh also works with some fairly big players, and we’re constantly doing renovations for them. Funny enough, one of them owns one of the biggest construction companies on Vancouver Island – and he comes to us for all his personal stuff. I think that says a lot. He obviously knows building, and he obviously trusts us.” Daniel credits that loyalty to the company’s aforementioned belief in continuous improvement, but he also credits the consistency of their quality. He believes their attention to detail is “pretty much unparalleled.” In turn, he credits that attention to detail to their team, including their familiar roster of subcontractors. “We have developed strong relationships with some of the island’s most trusted subtrades,” Daniel says. “We work a lot with the same people over and over again. We trust them. We know they are going to complete everything to a really high standard of quality.” “And if there’s a problem, we know they’re going to be there to rectify it,” he adds. “We know they’re going to be there until its right.” Velocity Projects’ relationships with top quality trades go back many years, Daniel reiterates. He personally has some relationships going back 15 years, and he knows Josh does too. “It was an interesting experience when we merged,” he recalls. “We both specialize in professional, high-end, one-off unique projects, and we had completely different diverse groups of trades. It was interesting seeing them come together. The way that his group would jump through hoops, the way they would pick up the phone when he needed them, the way they would do what it takes at the drop of the hat – it was the exact same thing that I had with my trades.” “So it’s a great feeling knowing we have such a deep pool of professionals we can draw from,” he adds. “That means there’s nothing that can come up that we’re not ready for.” THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE CANADA
