The merger occurred in 2019, but the two original companies have local histories dating back over 20 years, and were founded by Vancouver Island locals. Daniel was the founder of DSS Construction and Joshua Zabder was the founder of Velocity Contracting. Daniel, personally, has been working in the construction industry since he was 14 years old. Over the course of his career, he has worked on a long list of landmark commercial and residential projects – and the same goes for Josh. The two met when a mutual supplier invited them to a Canucks game and they ended up sitting next to each other.
