Proving themselves In Ontario, Gestion DMJ Management has mainly focused on public projects so far – with the intent of proving their capability, raising their profile, and eventually breaking into the private market. “We’re definitely going to keep bidding on public jobs, but what we want to build is good relationships with future and recurring clients,” Angus explains. “We want to prove ourselves to developers, to architects, to real estate agents, to interior designers. When they have a job, we want them to think of DMJ.” Project-wise, the company wants to progressively do bigger things. Eventually, they want to start doing high rises in Ottawa. “That’s the direction we’re headed,” Angus says. “Ottawa is developing like crazy. There is a lot of development happening or coming up. We want to be a part of it. We want those clients to recognize that DMJ is just as capable as some of the bigger contractors they have been JULY 2022
