We’ve found people who are willing to go the extra mile for us, and we’ll go the extra mile for them as well.” One longstanding partner, for example, is Core Electric, a Steinbach-based company that services the multi-residential and commercial sectors. They are known for delivering their services on time and with superior quality, and they strongly believe in workplace safety and continuous improvement. Those are the kinds of values that Chanden Homes looks for in their suppliers and subcontractors. According to Leon, Chanden Homes has been able to foster loyal relationships with those kinds of partners by keeping in constant communication. He says they routinely have meetings with all their subtrades, and they often ask, “What can we do on the job site to make it a better experience for you?” “If we can make some changes to make them more profitable, we’re happy to do it,” Leon says. “We know that if we do that, they’ll be more efficient, and they’ll be happier to work for us.
