According to Edmund, sales of Phase 1 of the project went “extremely well.” He partly credits that success to some of their sales and marketing initiatives – for example, they used virtual reality technology to allow purchasers to envision what they might put on their lots – but mostly he says it was the appeal of the community that powered sales. Primarily, he says that Coulee Ridge is set apart by the unique lifestyle offering – which “celebrates the best of natural beauty and peaceful country living, all within the city limits and easy access to important amenities.” Coulee Ridge “offers the best of both worlds,” Edmund reiterates. The community is set against the “natural beauty of big skies and coulee views,” but at the same time it also has access to all the important amenities of the city – including schools, health care, recreation, and retail. The nearby Medicine Hat Mall, for example, is anchored by Hudson’s Bay, Safeway, Galaxy Cinemas and over 50 retail shops and services. Natural amenities are even closer to home. Edmund says that residents “don’t have to drivetofindbeautifullydesigned parks, social gathering areas and multi-use recreational – it’s all right in your backyard.” The development also includes a Junegrass pond – which functions as a storm pond, but is also beautifully landscaped, it includes a waterfall feature, it’s ringed by a multi-use pathway, and there’s a nearby boardwalk with gathering places for community members. “We’ve taken great care to design a community that is DECEMBER 2022
